Emily and Alexander are traveling with their cousin Pierre on the Orient Express. Pierre's friend Hugo tells them that thefts have been committed on this train for six months and that Hugo's father Henri is suspected because a tool of his is found at the scene of the crime. The real thief, however, is Cedric, the head conductor, who only wants to frame Henri. The train management hires the international detective Flamenele Herot to uncover the thefts, because otherwise the line is in danger of being closed.
