A special honour befalls the clever little panda Manchu: he is chosen by the wise Buddha Bear to save the endangered panda people. Together with his friend Chi Chi, the leopard cub Jung Fu and the precocious red panda Konfusius, he embarks on an adventurous journey that takes him through the mysterious forests of the Chinese province of Sichuan. The companions have to go through many adventures before they can fulfil their mission.
