Astrid (Christiane Paul) is in her late forties and has her life firmly under control. She has fallen in love with Paul (Ronald Zehrfeld), and their first weekend trip together takes them to Budapest, for a few romantic days together. But in the Hungarian capital, everything turns out differently than planned: They meet Julius (Sebastian Hülk), Astrid's first great childhood love, which began in 1986 in the GDR at an artists' party. And this love was never easy back then, but always exciting. These are feelings that could not be properly ended by the course of history. Astrid looks at her past together with Paul, and suddenly everything could be as it had never been.
